...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Minnesota...
Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Yellow Medicine, Lac qui
Parle and Chippewa Counties.
.High water continues along the Minnesota River near Montevideo due
to recent rainfall. The river is forecast to gradually reach crest
Wednesday into Thursday. Additional chances of rainfall return
Friday.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Minnesota River at Montevideo.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Low lying areas and some roads along the
river begin flooding, along with some basements of houses along
the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 900 PM CDT Tuesday, the stage was 14.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 900 PM CDT Tuesday was 14.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.9
feet tomorrow evening.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.9 feet on 10/11/2017.

late Thursday evening and continue rising to a crest of 20.0

.Recent thunderstorms brought around 1.5 to 3 inches of
precipitation across the Turkey River basin. The river is expected
to rise overnight and is forecast to reach flood stage Wednesday
morning.

Buffalo Creek near Burt...to Lotts Creek near Livermore.
* WHEN...From Wednesday morning to tomorrow evening.
* IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, Water affects the lowest portions of
Northpark Dr and Norwood Dr in Algona.
At 17.0 feet, Water threatens US 169 south of Algona and affects
some rural roads.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 16.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.0
feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
early tomorrow afternoon.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT WEDNESDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.
* WHERE...A portion of north central Iowa, including the following
counties, Hancock, Kossuth and Winnebago.
* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. It will take several hours for all
the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems
in urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 644 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the
warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Several inches of
rain have fallen.
- Little additional rainfall is expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Algona, Forest City, Britt, Union Slogh, Eagle Lake, West
Bend, Burt, Whittemore, Titonka, Wesley, Leland, Crystal
Lake, Woden, Duncan, Miller, Hayfield, St. Benedict,
Irvington, Sexton and Hutchins.
